WHEN SAFETY IS A PRIORITY – NEW MASS “ESD LINE” GRATINGSIn these last years, M.M. has expanded its fiberglass gratings’ range by adding to their conductive or insulation properties the new antistatic and dissipative features. They are particularly performing in areas with a high risk of explosion due to the presence of static electricity, as in the marine and petrochemical sectors.
For the dispersion of the electric charges, it is necessary to increase the conductivity of the surrounding environment or of the material itself by using ionizing devices or by adding specific substances, called anti-static agents. This procedure can guarantee a high security level for use in specific areas where a high safety standard is required.
This is exactly what M.M. has worked out and refined for the realization of the two versions of the "ESD line”. The first one has a simple carbon black topcoat, but the second one, is the real INNOVATION: the right materials mix makes them dissipative in their mass and could be supplied in any color required.
