M.M., already strengthened by the Charter of Values, a tool for reflection and reference synthesis that gathers the fundamental principles of the corporate identity (competence, innovation and passion) and inspires the decisions and behavior of all collaborators both in their strategic choices and in their daily actions, has decided to develop and implement a Social Accountability Management System consistent with the SA8000:2014 International Standard, pursuing the following objectives:

• raise the awareness of those who collaborate, in various capacities, with the Organization (workers, consultants, suppliers, etc.), requesting them, within the scope of their activities on behalf of the company, to adopt correct, transparent and non-discriminatory behavior, in line with the ethical values that inspire the pursuit of the company’s mission;
• ensure transparency in relations between the company and workers: employees are aware that they work in a safe and ethical company, committed to protecting and improving their working conditions;
• improve effectiveness and transparency in the management of company activities.

In compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 231/01, which introduces and regulates the liability of companies in the Italian legal system, deriving from the commission of the offences envisaged in the Decree itself, M.M. has equipped itself with an organisational system for the management and control of processes, which is suitable for preventing the commission of the offences envisaged in the aforementioned Decree.
This System is made up of a set of rules, processes and procedures that are based on the Organisation, Management and Control Model (Model 231). Model 231 has been adopted and implemented by the Board of Directors, which has also appointed the Supervisory Body, an autonomous body, with the task of supervising the functioning and compliance with Model 231 itself and of ensuring its updating. In fact, Model 231 is kept updated in relation to the regulatory and organisational developments of the company.
The implementation of the Model promotes rigor, transparency and a sense of responsibility in internal relationships and with stakeholders and, at the same time, offers the best guarantees of efficient and correct management, through the introduction of procedures useful for managing any risky situations.
