WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS
Wastewater treatment plants are characterized by strong humidity, sudden changes in temperature, ice formation, presence of corrosive substances (hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, organosulphur compounds, reduced organic sulphur compounds, amines, indol and skatol, volatile fatty acids), viscous substances, biological proliferation of microorganisms and weeds. Thanks to their resistance to corrosion, humidity, low temperatures and sudden changes in temperature, M.M. products provide the ideal solution to these environmental problems. M.M. gratings are manufactured according to the DIN 24537 – 3 standard and can be supplied in a slip resistant version according to the DIN 51130 standard to guarantee maximum safety for operators. We can also provide parapets to protect operators working in the proximity of basins (sedimentation tanks, flotation tanks, sand collectors, oil separators, clarifiers, activated sludge tanks, thickeners, sterilization tanks). All M.M. products are manufactured according to UNI EN ISO 14122 – 1,2,3,4, standards and Legislative Decree 81/2008 on safety in the workplace. M.M. provides CE-marked ladders for inspection chambers in compliance with the UNI EN 14396 standard. As a solution to the problem of bio-aerosols which originate during wastewater treatment stages and may be dispersed into the surrounding environment, M.M. offers its covered gratings which are able to insulate environments at risk. Covered M.M. gratings are manufactured with dielectric materials and they are certified as excellent insulators according to the EN 61340-2.3 and IEC 61340-4-5 electrical safety standards. Therefore, they ensure adequate electrical safety.
